[Fanfic] No One At Fault
2012-05-28 02:56 pmThis is my very first time writing a fanfic....so I don't know how to start...
The genre is general. And the casts are:
Kitayama Hiromitsu
Fujigaya Taisuke
Yokoo Wataru
Kawai Fumito
Tamamori Yuta
here it is:
“Taisuke…” The first name came out from him right after he managed to open his small eyes.
Yokoo quickly grab his right hand. “You’re awake? Thank God.” He smiled gratefully as looking at his friend’s pale face.
The mentioned name boy just looking from afar, not moving. He was a bit surprised hearing the small guy calling his name seconds ago. Not knowing what to do, he decided to just watch from the side of the window.
“ Watta….Where am I?” That small guy lying on the white sheet bed asked after looking at a very unfamiliar ceiling. It’s all white. The ceiling, the wall, the bed. He’s sure he never been there before.
“You’re in hospital, Hiro. You’ve been sleeping for few months.” Yokoo still grabbing the small hand in his, smiling at the guy.
“What happened to me?” He barely, or most likely couldn’t remember why he was here and since when he’d been lying on the bed. He felt a bit numb from all over the body.
Yokoo stared at the tall dark guy who’d been standing, hoping that he will at least say something. But Taisuke really can’t do anything, after seeing the sick guy opened his eyes. He’s just….wordless. Knowing that the guy will say nothing, Yokoo sighed.
“You don’t remember anything, Hiro?” Yokoo looks back at Kitayama, or Hiro as he called him for the past few years, half hoping that his friends could remember why he ended up in the ward.
“The last thing I remembered was….I was in my car with mom….ah! Where’s mom, Taisuke?” He looks at the non-moving guy, waiting for the answer.
“Eh…errr…”
“Mom is alright, na Taisuke?” Kitayama felt an uneasy feeling in his heart but he still hoped his mother is in good condition now.
“Err…mom was….errr…” Not having the courage to tell the truth, and couldn’t lie either, Taisuke throws a ‘help me,please’ look at Yokoo, wishing that Yokoo could settle this for him.
“Hiro….I need to tell you something….about your mom…but I need you to be patient…and extra calm…ok?”
“Anything bad happened to her? What’s wrong? Taisuke, what happened to mom?” He starts to be impatient to know about his beloved lady.
“Hiro….you and your mom met an accident few months ago, and that was why you’re here.”
“And my mom?”
“Hiro…..she’s…..she’s…..”
“What happened to her, Watta? Taisuke?” He started to pull himself up and tried to reach Taisuke’s hand. The moment he managed to do that, he grabbed the hand and began to pull that boy to him.
“Taisuke, where is she now? Tell me…”He knew something bad happened to her. And tears started to travel down from his eyes. Being frozen for a moment, Taisuke slowly took Hiro’s hand into his, and grab the small guy’s shoulder with his other hand.
“Please….calm down….you’re not in a good form now.” Taisuke felt his voice is stuttered, while holding back his tears not to fall down now.
“She…..she didn’t make it,” Watta felt that he lost all of his strength by saying that, and bursting into tears.
“DON’T LIE TO ME, WATTA!!!” Hiro couldn’t control himself and hardly slapped Yokoo’s arms with all the strength he had.
“It was a severe accident….I’m sorry, Hiro.” Taisuke could no longer hold the clear water from flowing down his high cheeks as he witnessed how much love Kitayama had to the woman.
Unable to take those words, Kitayama started to scream his mother’s name out loud and moved left and right while tried to taking out all the patchings on his hands.
Couldn’t bear seeing the guy acting like that, Taisuke rushed out and came back with a doctor minutes after. The doctor gave Kitayama an injection, made him back to sleep, with full of tears in his eyes and on his chubby cheeks. Yokoo started to wipe off his as slowly leaving the room.
“You’re not leaving?” He voiced out as he saw Taisuke kept looking at the sleeping guy.
“Can I….stay here? At least until he wakes up again?” He just didn’t have the heart to leave Kitayama alone, even though he was sleeping now. He felt the responsibility of taking care the older guy is his now.
“You are not asking permission, right?” Yokoo knew Taisuke only wanted to tell that he wanted to stay.
“Un…” He nodded a little.
“Just make sure you don’t wake him up, intentionally.” Yokoo wasn’t sure if allowing the dark guy to stay by Kitayama’s side was a good idea but as he had to go back to work, he didn’t want Kitayama to be alone too.
“I just wanna be here…in case he needs anything.” Even though deep down in his heart, he never knew for how long he had to wait.
“He does need something……Explanation. You sure you can give that?”
“I can try….even if it’s not now…..I’m here for that, after all.” Taisuke knew sooner or later, he still needs to explain everything to Kitayama. Only time knows.
“I’ll come back tomorrow. But let me know if there’s anything he needs.” Yokoo grabbed his notebook bag and walked to the door after pat Taisuke on his shoulder.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s been two hours after he heard Kitayama calling his name again. “Taisuke…”
Taisuke pulled one chair to the side of the bed so that Kitayama wouldn’t have the difficulty to speak out loud.
“You’re not going to class? You still have one, right?”
“Err…yes, but I told my lecturer I’ll be here, earlier on.”
“You shouldn’t do that. There are lots of people who can look after me here, Suke.”
“No…I just feel that…I wanna be here. That’s all. Besides, it’s already study week so the normal class is just like a revision class. I’m sure I can do that at home.” Taisuke had already prepared for this so he brought along his books and notes to the hospital so that he can do the study there.
“Is that so. Taisuke?” Kitayama looked at the other’s worried face before continuing his question.
“Yes? What is it? You want something? I’ll get you a drink then.” Taisuke was about to stand up before he felt Kitayama’s hand grabbing his wrist.
“You managed to send her peacefully, didn’t you? Was she smiling? Before she go?” Taisuke could hear the husky voice came out from that tiny mouth, maybe because he tried not to shed any tears anymore.
“She mentioned your name before she closed her eyes, peacefully. Yes, she was smiling.” Taisuke knew it was not the best thing to do but he had no choice other than telling a small lie, if the lie could make Kitayama feel relieved.
“I knew she would. You were by her side, right Taisuke?”
“Err…yes.” Taisuke couldn’t look at the other’s eyes anymore. “I’ll get you something to drink.” He quickly moved to the table and poured some water into a glass before handed it to Kitayama. Kitayama slowly poured few drops into his mouth before handed it back to Taisuke.
“Help me get up. It’s tiring lying like this.” Kitayama reached out his hands to Taisuke. Taisuke grabbed Kitayama by the back of his small shoulders and put him rested on the pillows that had been leaned against the head of the bed.
“How long I’ve been sleeping? Feels like years.” He slowly touched his hair on the neck to realize it had grown long. “Ah…I need a haircut.”
“About three months….or 86 days, to be exact. I can cut it for you, after you can freely move your head, of course.” Taisuke gave a quick look at Kitayama’s black hair.
“Thank you. How’s home? You do take a good care of home, rite? Since, you’re more cleaner than me.” He laughed a bit thinking that how messy his room were.
“Errr…everything’s ok. What do you exactly remember?” Taisuke questioned as he noticed Kitayama started to ask strange questions.
“Everything, I guess. Except that, why I was here and how mom was gone….I think I remember everything quite perfectly. Why?”
“Nothing big. Because you had a bad injury on your head so I suppose you’ll forget most of the thing. It’s great then.” Taisuke nodded his head several times, in a smaller angle.
“But…I can’t recall our childhood times though. Weird.” Taisuke almost poured out his drink as soon as he heard that.
“I guess maybe that’s the effect of the injury. No worries. It’ll come back, I’m sure. Just don’t force your mind.”
“Thank you, Taisuke.” Kitayama smiled at the other.
“For?” Taisuke raised his eyebrows a bit, feeling uneasy receiving the words.
“I don’t know. I just feel your existence every day, for the whole time I’ve been sleeping. You were here, right? Here by your aniki’s side.” Kitayama looked at the puzzled face of Taisuke.
“Err…yes. Just to make sure you’re not alone when you open your eyes.” Taisuke moved his view from Kitayama’s face. “Oh, Yokoo-kun said he’ll be here tomorrow. Maybe you wanna talk to him now? I can call his phone.” Kitayama shook his head.
“Nah… he’s working now so it’s better not to disturb him. I can talk to him tomorrow. Besides, I have my brother here so I don’t think another company. You’ll stay the night here, right?”
“If you want me too.” Taisuke felt more and more sympathy for the tiny guy. Does he really have the courage to tell him the truth?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“When are you planning to tell him?” Kawai looked at Taisuke’s face after sipping a few drops of orange juice from his glass.
“Tell what?” Taisuke flipped through the notes Kawai handed to him earlier before they entered the café for some drinks and cakes.
“What happened that night. He didn’t know right?” Kawai started to take a bite on the chicken pie he bought. Three of them. Two for him and one for his pal, which soon will be his too.
“He knew. He knew already.” Taisuke still continued flipping the papers while lazily answering the question from his best friend.
“But not in details, right?” With a mouth full of dusty dried flour, that some of them flew out from his mouth and dropped on the notes Taisuke had in his hand.
“Oi! Watch out. It’s oily here. Can you just eat, and not talking at the same time? God…” Taisuke wiped away the mess Kawai made as the other just giggled. “I need some time. So does him. I don’t want to make things worse for him. He just woke up yesterday.”
“The sooner the better, Taipi. I know it’s hard but it’s harder when you tell him after….well, you know what.” Kawai wiped all the leftovers of the pie and put it back into the plate before gulping his juice.
“I know what I’m doing so don’t worry. And stop asking this again, please.” Taisuke quickly collected all the notes and books on the table before putting them inside his black backpack and walked out leaving Kawai blank.
“Where’re you going?” Kawai raised his voice a bit. And made a move just to chase Taisuke.
“Hospital. I won’t be going to class this evening. Thanks for this.” He lifted up his bag to show Kawai the contents though he knew Kawai can’t see through it.
“It’s not free, you know.” Kawai half joke about what he got Taisuke this morning.
“I owe you lunch. Tomorrow.” He waved his left hand before started to run down the street.
Kawai sighed and shook his head. “I do hope you know what you’re doing, or going to do. But I know you’ll hurt by that, Taipi.” He talked to himself as watching his friend slowly disappeared from his sight.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Ahh…you’re here, Yokoo-kun. Not working?” Taisuke found a familiar face in the room as he entered.
“It’s lunchtime and I happened to be around this area so I thought it’ll be good if I dropped by to see our little guy here.” He looked at Kitayama who just finished eating his lunch with a cheeky face.
“Oi! I’m big enough, you know.” Kitayama threw a pillow to Yokoo but Yokoo managed to catch it just with one hand.
“Never throw a thing into a catcher’s hand.” And he threw it back to Kitayama and went straight hitting the tiny nose of him.
“Ouch! Never throw a pillow to a sick guy.” As he took back the soft square thing and put it back behind his back, laughing.
Taisuke just threw a small laugh watching the scene between those two best friends.
“Have you had your lunch, Suke? You look tired.” Kitayama handed an apple he got from Yokoo earlier, to the other guy.
“Err…I had one just now. At the uni café. Thanks.” He put down his bag on the chair and moved closer to the bed.
“Ne~” Kitayama sip his drink before looked at the younger guy’s face.
“Un?”
“Why are you being so polite with me?”
“I am?”
“Yeah…saying ‘thank you’ to your own brother. You sure you didn’t do anything wrong?” Kitayama giggled after he finished his sentence. He looked at Yokoo who just smirked hearing that, while cynically looking at Taisuke’s face.
“Err…no. Nothing. So, I see you had your lunch. Feeling better today?” Taisuke slowly pulled aside the curtains of the window to let some fresh air entering the room.
“Better now. I think I can go back in few days. I can’t wait.” Taisuke startled a bit after hearing the word ‘home’ came out from Kitayama.
“I want you to take me to mom, Taisuke. The day I discharge. I wanna ‘see’ her. You visit her every day, right? I’m sure she knows I’m awake now. As…you’ll definitely tell everything to her, from A to Z, about me.” Taisuke just stood at the side of the windows, throwing his sight out of the building. Why is this heart feeling hurt again?
“Hiro…I think you need to know something.” Yokoo started to open his mouth to explain the truth before Taisuke suddenly sat on the bed and faced Kitayama.
“I will. I’m taking you to mom as soon as you recover.” He threw that face again, that helpless face to Yokoo.
“Ok, then. Will wait for the day to come. Watta, is there something you wanna tell me just now?” He changed his view angle to Yokoo who began to take his bag from the chair and stood up.
“Yes. My lunchtime is over so I need to get back to work. I’ll come again when I have time. Take care, Hiro.”
“Is that all? You make it sound so serious. You must come or I’ll break our friendship.” Laughed to his own words.
“Gotta go now. See you. Taisuke, you too. Take care of him.” Still with the cynical face looking at Taisuke, he walked out of the room. Able to just give a little nod, Taisuke sighed out of his aware.
“Something’s wrong, Suke? You look….unenergetic. I’m sure my bro is not like this.”
“Err…no. Nothing. Just feeling tired of running right after eating. Hehe….”
“Who taught you to do that? Mom always scolds me for running with a full tummy. I think she did that to you too.”
Taisuke felt like the whole time just paused as he heard that.
“You missed her, right?” Taisuke knew Kitayama just couldn’t erase all the memories and sayings of his mom.
“You don’t?”
“Err….oh, by the way, I’m not spending the night here. Is that ok with you?” Taisuke knew he had to go back home tonight.
“Ok for me. Besides, somebody needs to look after the house. And you might wanna clean up my room a bit before I can go back to my own bed.” He knew Taisuke can do all the chores.
“I’ll make sure you’ll be comfy on your own bed.”
“That’s my little boy.” As he rubbed his hand over Taisuke’s hair.
“Oi! Don’t mess up my hair.” Taisuke tried to tilt his head back avoiding from Kitayama’s hands with a little laugh.
“There you go….you and your lion hair.”
“I look good with this hair. At least that’s what Kawai said.”
“Kawai? A Friend? Did I ever meet him?” Kitayama tried to remember any boy with that name.
“I don’t think you ever meet any of my friends. I’ll bring him over, if it’s permitted to.” Taisuke knew that’s not going to happen.
“To be fair, right? You met my best friend, Watta so I think I should meet yours. Bring him to our house after I get out from here.” He said as he closed his mouth with his palm. “I’m sleepy. It’s the pills’ fault.” He took few pills after the lunch, as being instructed by the doctor.
“You should sleep now. I’ll be here, doing my revision.” Taisuke pulled up the blanket to cover the small body.
“I’ve lost weight, a lot.” He stretched out his hospital uniform with both hands to show how big the shirt on him.
“You’re not actually eating for months so that’s not surprising. I’ll feed you with lots of food when you back home.” Taisuke smiled as he continued pulling up the blanket and moved back to the chair before taking out the papers from his bag.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The day has come. The day Kitayama waited for had finally come. Soon after the doctor gave a green light for him to discharge, he immediately packed his things and waited for Taisuke to fetch him.
“Good morning.” Taisuke entered just to find out the small guy had already standing with a normal outfit and a bag in his left hand.
“Let’s go.”
“You’re early. And energetic. Is there any medicine that you overtook?” Taisuke laughed as he took the bag from the small hand.
“I can’t wait to see mom.”
“Well, then. Let’s go. Yokoo-kun will wait for us at home.”
“Ok.”
“The cab is out there, readily waiting for the ‘prince’ to be brought home.” Taisuke joked as he saw Kitayama was bright as a prince.
“Not driving?”
“Err…no. My car is in workshop.” Taisuke felt uneasy talking about his car to Kitayama. It might bring back the black memory to him.
“Oh…ok. Off we go.”
Couple of hours later, they safely arrived home after visiting the grave.
As Taisuke pressed the bell, The squeaking sound of the door being opened is heard along with “Okaeri” from inside.
“Welcome back, Hiro, to your house.” Yokoo grabbed his bag from Taisuke’s hand after being eye-signalled to do that.
“I’m back….” As he stepped in the small apartment, which is still very familiar to him.
“Ahhh……I miss home.” As he sat down on the sofa.
“I’ve prepared some meals for you if you feeling hungry.” Yokoo went back to the kitchen where he was before he heard the bell.
“Thank you, Watta. You shouldn’t do that. Taisuke can do it for me. He’s been here all day, right Suke?”
“Ah..Errr….”
“No. I just feel wanna feed you something, Hiro. Please allow me.” Yokoo quickly brought a plate of fried rice to where Kitayama sat.
“Come, eat. We have many things to talk about.”
Yes. Today is the day, thought Taisuke. He promised to Yokoo to do it today.
“Of course we do. Like, how many girls you’ve took away during my presence, right?” Kitayama laughed as he fed himself a spoonful of rice. “Suke? You don’t wanna eat?”
“Not feeling to eat now. Maybe later.”
“AAAhhhh…..I’m full. It’s Watta’s fault. The fried rice is yummy.” Kitayama rubbed his tummy, happily. “Now, you wanna talk?”
“Before that, I wanna ask you something, Hiro.” Yokoo set a good sitting position, right beside Kitayama as Taisuke sat on the single sofa, near the door. “Do you notice any strange or difference in this house?”
“Strange? Difference?” Kitayama looked around the house just to find out that he noticed some photos of him and his mother on the TV table and on the wall.
“Do you notice something’s not here?” Yokoo asked again.
“Not here?” Kitayama started looking around again before Taisuke stood up and voiced out.
“I think you should go straight to the point, Yokoo-kun. Do you see any of my pictures here?” Taisuke just can’t be patient anymore. “No, right. You know why?”
Kitayam looked up at Taisuke’s face. “Yeah…no pictures of you. Don’t tell me you put all those down after arguing with mom? That was what happened right? I knew something was wrong the moment I saw your face, Suke. Why you did that?” Kitayama felt heated knowing Taisuke might raise his voice to the lady that gave birth to him.
“It’s not that.” Taisuke clenched his own fist to gather his strength before continuing his words. “Because I’ve never been here. I’m not existed in your life, Kitayama-san.” He harshly sat back on the sofa and covered his face with both his hands.
“I…I don’t understand.”
“Kitayama-san. I’m not your brother. My name is Fujigaya Taisuke. I never had a surname of Kitayama.” He pulled out his student card as a proof of his name.
“No….you’re joking, right? You just got mad of something….something that I didn’t know. So you changed your student card, right?”
“Can I? Can I possibly do that, purposely? You’re the only son of this family, Kitayama-san.”
“Then, why were you at the hospital? And why did I remember you as my brother? This doesn’t make sense. Yokoo, tell me this is not true.” He looked at Yokoo as Yokoo shook his head several times.
“Hiro….you’re the only son that your mother had. You never had any siblings. The memory of Taisuke as your brother might be messed up because…..” Yokoo couldn’t continue to hurt his friend’s feeling anymore.
“Because of what?” Kitayama started to get up and walked towards Taisuke who had been facing down since then.
“Because of what, Taisuke?” He grabbed Tasiuke collar shirt and made him get up.
“Because I was there, when you were brought into the hospital after the accident. I was there when your car rolling down the hill. I was there when you were avoiding from crashing the black car coming right in front of you. I was there when……”
“He was there when the irresponsible crazy driver suddenly drove into your lane, Hiro. He was the guy.” Yokoo started to shed his tears when Kitayama looked surprised at Taisuke’s face. Soon after, more and more memories of the incident flashing into his mind, making all the Yokoo’s and Taisuke’s words more logic now. He remembered that day he spent the night with his mom to celebrate his mother’s birthday. He remembered that was his first car as a present for his mother. He remembered that was the first time he drove the car with his mother. And surely he remembered how he hit the road divider after avoiding a black car suddenly appeared in front of his, from the opposite side. And the last thing he remembered was he could hear his mother calling his name before both of them rolling down the hill. And….he remembered the driver’s looks. A guy with a long, wavy hair at the back, and a long bangs covering half of the face. It was…..Taisuke.
“You messed up your memories of Taisuke just because he was there. Not because he’s your brother, Hiro. It’s his fault you were at the hospital. It’s his fault your mother was….”
“STOP IT!!! STOP IT!!!! I don’t wanna hear it anymore.” Kitayama suddenly felt a severe pain in his head.
“Go away….Get out of my house.” He pointed his finger to Taisuke’s face without looking at the person’s face.
“I’m…sorry, Kitayama-san. I’m so sorry.” Taisuke tried his very best not to cry as he looked at the small guy’s face.
“No. Just go away. And don’t ever show your face again. You’re not worth it, to say sorry. You don’t deserve it, murderer. Get out. GET OUT!!!”
Yokoo slowly pulled Taisuke’s arm to send him off the door. Taisuke pulled back his hand and walked towards the outside of the house after saying, “You won’t, Kitayama-san. You won’t see me again. That’s my promise.”
Kitayama broke down his tears as he kneed down on the floor, crying like a baby before Yokoo hugged him tightly to comfort him, though deep down Yokoo knew there was nothing can make Kitayama feels good after all the lies he received.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Excuse me….Kitayama-san?” A tall young guy with a bright brown hair approached him as he was about to enter his apartment.
“Yes. Do I know you?” Kitayama sure he never met that boy before. At least not in his conscious mind.
“No, I believe you don’t. We never met. I’m Tamamori by the way.” Tamamori reached out his right hand before Kitayama shook the hand.
“Oh…what brings you here, Tamamori-kun? Please come in.” He twisted the key in the hole before made it open.
“Thank you. I’m here to tell you something.” Tamamori took off his shoes outside of the door before following Kitayama inside.
“But you promise not to get angry and please listen to what I wanna say until the last sentence.” He continued as he was offered to sit by the small guy.
“If it’s something that doesn’t make me mad, I guess I’ll be calm.”
“Thank you.” Tamamori replied after receiving a glass of apple juice from Kitayama’s hand.
“You know Taisuke, right?”
“Do we really need to talk about him? I just erased all the memories with him away.” Kitayama felt the heat is coming back again after hearing the name.
“Please, Kitayama-san. Let me finish.” Tamamori put down the glass before setting a good sitting position, right in front of Kitayama.
“True. Taisuke was driving the car that night. But it was not his fault that the car went out of control.” And tamamori began to refresh what had happened that night.
“Fujigaya-kun~~~~” Tamamori looked at Taisuke’s face with his redden cheeks, as effect of the drink he drank just now.
“What’s with this girly voice? Stop it, Tama-chan. You make me feel eerie.” Taisuke laughed as he looked at the guy on the passenger seat, tilting his head onto Taisuke’s shoulder.
“Nothing. Fujigaya-kun was just so cool just now. And you have a very great voice. You should be an idol…..and I’ll be your fan.” Tamamori began to smile cutely while imagining Taisuke on stage, performing ‘Ai No Katamari’, just like what he did at the karaoke place few minutes ago.
“Hahaha…that’s a very good way of teasing me, Tama. Cut the crap. And sit still. I’m driving, you see. I should’ve stopped you from drinking too much. Just because you just turned 21 doesn’t mean you can drink the whole bottle of it. You shouldn’t listen to that brat-Nika.” Taisuke pushed Tamamori to the side before he grabbed Taisuke’s arm again.
“Ne…I wanna drive.” Tamamori tried to grab the wheel before Taisuke slapped his hand not to do so.
“Oi! Sit still. You don’t wanna make a mess here. Or I swear I’ll throw you out of the car.”
“I wanna drive….Fujigaya-kun….let me.”
“God….I hope I can punch your face so you’ll sleep until I safely send you home. Now please…” before Taisuke could finish his line, Tamamori suddenly pushed the wheel outward and making the car turned outside of the lane. Just in front of them was another car coming. Taisuke pulled back the wheel but he could see the other hitting hard the divider before rolling down the small hill. Taisuke turned the wheel few rounds so that the car could make a turn to the crashed divider. He stopped his car, leaving Tamamori after he punched hard the younger guy at his face to pass him out. He dialled the emergency number before getting down rescuing the passengers in the car. Without thinking of the dark or whatever creatures existed in the bush, he ran down to the small car and tried to open the driver’s door.
“I’m getting you out. Take my hand.” He reached out his hand after noticing that the guy was still half awake.
“No. Save my mom first.” That guy refused to take Taisuke’s hand as he worried about his mother’s condition. Taisuke then went to the other side of the vehicle and opened the passenger’s door to pull out the middle-aged woman, who already unconscious. Blood was everywhere on the woman’s body.
Few minutes after, the rescue team arrived and took over the rescuing job. One of the team member pulled Taisuke up but he still stood there until both victims were taken into the ambulance.
“He escorted both of you in the ambulance, until to the door of ER, where he couldn’t access anymore.” Tamamori was ready if he was getting another punch now, by a different person. “He was at the hospital every day because he felt guilty of what happened though now you clearly know it was 100% my fault. But Fujigaya-kun never blamed me. He blamed himself for not being cautioned enough, and he said because that was his car after all. He never got angry with me after the accident. He said it was all on him. That’s why he was at your side every day. He thought by doing that, he would lessen your burden and your pain. And when you thought he was your brother, he felt more responsible. It was not his fault, Kitayama-san. Please forgive me. You can punish me any way you can.”
Kitayama stared at Tamamori before stood up and released a deep long sigh.
“Where is he now?” Kitayama felt he owe Taisuke an apology after calling him a murderer.
“You can’t find him anywhere.” Tamamori faced down the floor, and few drops of clear water dropping on the floor.
“What do you mean?”
“Few days after you chased him out of your house, he met an accident with a drunk driver. At the very same spot where your car crashed. He had a severe injury at the head and his back. He couldn’t survive, or more like, I don’t want him to survive. If he lived, he’ll be paralysed and worse, he can’t move at all. His bones were broken. I barely recognized him when he was brought in the hospital.” Tamamori felt ashamed of crying in front of a stranger but every time he remembered Taisuke’s face on that day, he couldn’t stop it. “He went up, Kitayama-san. But only after he asked me to meet you to say sorry on behalf of him. Although his face was not like his usual cheerful face anymore, he was still smiling before he closed his eyes forever. That’s Taisuke that I know. A very bright person, who likes to help others with all his might. That’s what his name means, afterall.”
Kitayama felt like he’d been hit with a big hard rock in his heart hearing this. Why didn’t Taisuke tell him this? Why he had to take the blame, when there was no one at fault?
So, how is it?
Please leave a comment.
I'm not sure if i'm doing this again but...who knows.

Date: 2012-05-30 07:51 pm (UTC)In the beginning you said this was your first time of writing a fic. It’s great that you’ve started since writing is fun and it’s always good to have new writers in the fandom. ^^
But, asdfghjk it was sad. (;_____;) I felt bad for Kitayama when he was in the hospital, and the ending - poor Taipi. AND TAMA. ;;;; I’m feeling so bad for all of them atm.
I liked it how you keep the paragraphs nice and short. Only in the end, when Tama explained things to Kitayama, the paragraphs were a bit too long, but otherwise you did very well with it! It’s difficult to read if the paragraphs are very long and in this fic I had no problems with that. Good girl! (^o^)
I was a bit confused when Tamamori started telling Kitayama about how the accident actually happened. You had added one empty line more between the present time and the past time but I guess it would be good to make it even clearer somehow, e.g. using a dash or a star both in the beginning and the end of the flashback, or maybe use italics when the flashback isn’t very long. That way the reader knows to expect something to happen and won’t be surprised about the sudden jump in time. :) I noticed you had used the dash-lines in between longer sections of text which was a good thing!
I guess English is not your native language, am I right? Your vocabulary is quite nice and the time of the fic flows nicely, not too fast or too slow. But I’d recommend you find yourself a beta reader to check your grammar too. It’s hard to notice one’s own mistakes and typos in the middle of the text and I say that from my own experience. :D Personally, I hardly ever dare to post anything unbetaed since I’m not native English speaker either and I don’t trust my English well enough.
Betas can be found by asking around in LJ, for example, or if you have a fandom-friendly friend who knows English well you could ask them to help you.
And, since you said it was your first fic I thought it might be useful for you to learn about fic headers. ^^
Usually, writers tend to attach some information in the beginning of their fics. Readers like to know what they’re going to read, as funny as it sounds. :D Also, the information in the beginning works as a warning, in case there’s something in the fic that some people might not want to read (e.g. if someone doesn’t want to read higher rating fics or angsty fics etc). As for this fic; the header could look like this, for example:
Title: No one at fault
Genre: General drama, AU
Rating: G
Characters: Kitayama Hiromitsu, Fujigaya Taisuke, Yokoo Wataru, Kawai Fumito, Tamamori Yuta
A/N: Anything you want to say about the fic or the writing process etc. :)
In the example header “AU” stands for “Alternative Universe”, meaning that in the fic the boys are not their real selves (idols, Kisumai members) but something else. Instead of characters, there could also be “Pairing:” if you had a pairing in the fic.
Oops, such a tldr; comment. I hope you find it helpful. :’3 Thank you for writing this fic, and if you like writing please do continue doing so! Ficwriting is one of the things one only learns by practicing! (^___^)v
